Soccer Interactive.com is a division of Sports Training Interactive, Inc. Founded in 2006 by CEO Tim Horton as a new way to educate, motivate and engage coaches and players of team sports utilizing the unique capabilities of the internet. This concept is based on:
"Empowering the Coach. Enriching the Player"
This is accomplished by making the age appropriate content easily available online and giving users the ability to view it, when and where they choose. Combine this with tools that empower the coach to create and share their own ideas
Our mission is to revolutionize soccer training via the web while building a community of coaches and players that contribute to and enrich that learning process.
Tim observed that coaches and players have traditionally utilized the following methods of learning in team sports:
- Read training material.
- Watch video and live training demonstrations
- (This helps to visualize and understand what correct coaching technique and technical training looks like and how to present and utilize it.)
- Participate in a live and interactive coaching course or sports camp.
- (Provides valuable and immediate feedback and direction from licensed instructors.)
We identified that the internet was very well suited to handle the first two methods of learning but also realized that while you can never replace the benefits of the live on-field session, we could develop unique tools that can address the tactical and classroom applications related to the third, interactive method of learning. It is this ability to address the interactive method of learning that separates Soccer Interactive.com from our competitors.
The one other integral part of the Sports Training Interactive concept is the utilization of video technology via the internet. As video on the net has begun to disrupt the traditional broadcast model we are a leader in embracing these new technologies.
So please join our growing community of coaches, parents and players, as we lead the way in delivering an exciting and effective E-learning experience for all those people who love “The Beautiful Game” as much as we do.
